Art Shop Opens February 18th! 〰️

I’ve been passionate about words and language for a very long time. I was born a writer. Other creative endeavors have often been fleeting for me. However, after a few years’ growth as a human under my belt, I suddenly had a desire to truly improve at some of my other creative hobbies, especially drawing. Maybe I read too many Regency novels and decided it was time I was more accomplished.🥰

Anyway, frustrated with my poor drawing and painting skills each time I cycled through that hobby, I started carrying a sketchbook with me everywhere in an effort to improve. And I mean everywhere. (There are very few people in my church I haven’t drawn at least once.)

After much practice, my drawings have gone from poor to (what I would consider as just) above mediocre and I’ve discovered a style of painting that feels like home. Apparently, that’s all it takes. At this point, I have as many, if not more, art fans than readers. Maybe transparency with my art journey has helped. Otherwise, I don’t know how this happened!

Ranging from plein air creations on our family hiking trips to illustrations for literary projects, art is basically funding my writing endeavors. I can’t complain! Like St. Paul’s tent-making, I feel like I’ve found a skill to fund the endeavor I feel truly called to, work that I thoroughly enjoy and can do while we adventure.

Below, you’ll find a small sampling of my style and what I offer.

Feel free to use the contact form at the bottom of the page if you have any questions about something I could create for you.

I’m super thankful for all of the amazing support and community I’ve found in the writing world! My first art income came from fellow writers who wanted to see their world come to life. Here are several projects for fellow authors.
